Olive oil has a smoke point of about 220 degrees C, you can shallow fry to about 190 so you’re OK to cook with olive oil.

By applying the simple rules to rice you will see the better choice, i.e. white rice is a nutrient light choice, brown, red, black and best wild are better choices.

My message is simple really, stop eating junk and try and eat more nutrients by choosing whole foods.
